As the year 2018 is coming to an end, most of us look back and reflect on what we have planned and what we have managed to accomplish. We have certainly planned a lot and Flynax developers’ agenda is always packed with updates, new features and plugins. As we are about to step into the year 2019, we’d like to take some time and reflect on our achievements and talk about our future plans.
Achievements
The year 2018 has been busy for us, all of our hard work resulted in a massive script update that brought our script in full compliance with GDPR – a must-have for websites operating in Europe. Not only that, we have also updated our mobile apps accordingly to reflect GDPR changes.
If you follow us on Twitter, you know that we have been busy regularly releasing updates for plugins, making them more stable and adding new features. Aside from updating the existing plugins, we have recently rolled out a Social Login allowing users to sign up for your website with most popular social networks in a couple of clicks.
Another great accomplishment is a booking plugin that involved hundreds of hours of work and it all boiled down to a fully re-worked plugin that allows you to run property, car rentals or escort directory with the booking ability and availability calendar. More so, the plugin allows collecting down payments. To sum it up, the year 2018 has been productive for us during which we enhanced our script and made it better for customers.
2019 Plans
We don’t like to make loud statements and prefer to announce the release of something new when it’s almost ready. However, we do have some New Year’s resolutions, which we will do our best to implement in 2019. Below, we’ll share what our customers can expect in the coming year:
New Templates – many of our customers keep asking us when we are planning to release new templates. We would like to assure you that the work on new templates is in full swing and you will definitely see them in the New Year.
The reason for which it’s taking longer than expected is because not only do we have to design a new template, but we also need to flawlessly integrate it into our script and ensure that it works with every feature of our script. This is crucial because any Flynax template allows you to change the layout, add boxes and rearrange components from admin panel while keeping integrity of the template.
Major Upgrade – we were supposed to release an update at the turn of the year but didn’t have the time to fully test it and ensure it’s working smoothly and without issues. Therefore, you can expect an update early in 2019, and furthermore, get ready for a major version 5 script upgrade in late 2019.
New Plugins – we are constantly working on new plugins. In the year 2019, you can expect a highly requested Events plugin, which will allow users to create a calendar and manage upcoming events. The work on Remote/Cloud storage plugin is ongoing, it will allow uploading and storing ads images on remote cloud/file sharing services thus easing the load on your server. A range of other plugins are in the making, we’ll share more news on them as the work goes ahead.
Apps update – good news for everyone planning to purchase mobile apps, we have recently brought down prices for both of our apps from $295 to $195, making each $100 cheaper. We understand that apps are essential for classifieds and we are planning to completely rework the apps in the New Year, making them better, more stable and feature-rich, with new design and functionality.
Keeping up with trends – as classifieds industry is developing rapidly, new trends regularly emerge. We always keep our hands on the pulse of new developments and do our best to keep our script cutting-edge and relevant to current classifieds trends.
