We’re excited to introduce our new mobile App for marketplaces and classifieds sites, Mobile Flynax 1.0. Built on the Flutter framework, these Apps incorporate modern trends and feedback from our active users. Designed with a modern interface and enhanced features, the Apps deliver a seamless experience for both Android and iOS users, providing native functionality for your site in the mobile environment.
Mobile Flynax version 1.0 is a completely new product, built from the ground up. We’ve moved away from Objective C and Java, opting for the innovative Flutter framework, Dart language, and the Declarative UI. Along with a new source code written from scratch, we’ve introduced a fresh, modern design, incorporating some valuable new features.
Innovative Flutter framework
We chose Flutter, a cutting-edge and widely used framework for building our new mobile App. Here’s why:
- Single source code. Previously, we had to develop in two environments for iOS and Android. Now, one source code compiles into two apps with identical functionality.
- Lower modification costs. With Flutter, development costs are almost halved, as all modifications are made in a single source code. You only need one developer for both platforms.
- Faster updates. The framework allows for quicker development and implementation of new modules into the App.
New features of the mobile Apps
Our goal was to create a new App while retaining the functionality of the previous product – and we’ve done more than that. We’ve added several new features:
- Filters. The functionality of the “Filters” plugin has been reproduced in the App and is now available on both platforms (previously, it was only available in the Android App).
- Dark and light modes. The App adapts to the color scheme of the smartphone, which contributes to maximum comfort when working with the App.
- Redesigned listing details screen. We’ve introduced a new gallery, a new modern and user-friendly interface.
- Redesigned listing management screen. A simple and clear manager, with the necessary listing management functions and statistics on views and contact requests.
New plugins for managing the Apps
We’ve developed two new plugins:
- REST API plugin. Creates a connection between the new Apps and your site’s database;
- Apps Manager plugin. Adds an App Settings section and necessary phrases to the admin panel (Basic Settings).
New Application settings are now available in the “Basic Settings” of the admin panel. These new settings allow you to customize the main screen, currency, and more, such as displaying listing types, categories, and other key features.
You don’t need the legacy iOS Connect and Android Connect plugins anymore; you can remove them once you get your Apps updated.
Version 1.0: the beginning
While we’ve implemented many of your requests, this is just the start. We plan to continue enriching Mobile Flynax 1.0 with new features. We’re working to integrate the most popular and wanted plugins into the Apps. The Flutter framework will help us make these updates faster and more efficiently.
Update policy and pricing
For those wondering about pricing, if you haven’t purchased a mobile App yet, the cost remains unchanged, 95 USD per App. If you already have a license and wish to update, the fee for switching to the new App is 45 USD. Android-based app users will need to provide access to Firebase, and iOS users will need to send access to their Apple developer accounts.
